MyMajor

The major in International Relations provides a broad, interdisciplinary education that will equip students for a wide variety of careers. Many of our students have gone on to excel in public service, including careers with local, state, and national governments, and with international and non-governmental organizations. Others have entered the private sector in fields as diverse as banking and finance, consulting, business, journalism, law, marketing, and higher education. The curriculum is designed to expose students to topics that cut across a range of disciplines while also allowing specialization in a student's area of interest.

The Liberal Studies Program exposes students to a wide range of courses and provides them with the opportunity to design an individualized program of study to satisfy personal, educational, and career goals. Students will have the option to declare one of the following tracks: (1) Health and Human Concerns, (2) Humanities and Cultural Traditions, (3) Law, Business and Society, or (4) Education, Policy and Community. In consultation with a liberal studies advisor, students will be encouraged to declare minors, certificates, and/or a second major to customize and enhance their degrees.

In today’s global economy, the vast majority of businesses require the movement of information, goods, products, supplies, materials, and people in order to fulfill the organization’s goals and to provide benefits to the communities the organization serves. This movement of human, physical, and informational capital involves the field of logistics and supply chain management. The new major in Logistics and Supply Chain Management provides undergraduate students with in-depth knowledge of logistics and supply chain concepts, best practices, and current tools of the trade that will enhance their career opportunities with respect to local, national, and international organizations.
